These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Johandrea Tours (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By confirming a booking, the client (“you”, “the guest”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

 

1. Company Overview

 

Johandrea Tours is a small, owner-operated tour group specialising in guided safari experiences for family /friends to the Kruger National Park in South Africa. Tours are personally planned andhostedby Johan and Andrea, ensuring a hands-on, authentic safari experience.

 

2. Bookings and Reservations

 

• All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once the required deposit has been received.
• A booking is considered a binding contract once written confirmation is issued by Johandrea Tours.
• The person making the booking warrants that they have the authority to accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all participants in the group.

 

 3. Payments

 

• A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total tour price is required to secure a booking, unless otherwise stated in writing.
• The balance of the tour cost must be paid no later than30 days prior to the tour start date.
• Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.
• All prices are quoted inUS Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified.
• Any bank charges or international transfer fees are the responsibility of the client.

 

4. Cancellations and Refunds

 

4.1 Deposit and Cancellation Policy

A 50% deposit is required to confirm all bookings with Johandrea Tours. This deposit is strictly non-refundable, as Johandrea Tours incurs immediate and unavoidable costs to secure and finalize reservations with third-party service providers, whose fees are non-refundable.

The remaining 50% balance is payable prior to the commencement of the tour, as specified at the time of booking.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances (Deo volente) occurring within 30 days after the final payment has been received, Johandrea Tours will refund the final 50% payment only. The initial 50% deposit remains non-refundable under all circumstances.

Johandrea Tours reserves the right to assess each situation individually and to apply this policy fairly and consistently.

 

4.2 Cancellation or Changes by Johandrea Tours

 

Johandrea Tours reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, weather conditions, safety concerns, park closures, political instability, or insufficient group numbers.

• In such cases, we will offer a suitable alternative or a refund of monies paid, excluding any non-recoverable third-party costs.
• We are not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the client, including flights or travel insurance.

 

5. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

 

Johandrea Tours accepts no responsibility for costs arising from the absence or inadequacy of a guest’s travel insurance coverage.

 

6. Health, Fitness, and Medical Conditions

 

• Guests are responsible for ensuring they are physically and medically fit to participate in a safari tour.
• Guests are responsible for their own malaria prevention.
• Any medical conditions, allergies, dietary requirements, or mobility limitations must be disclosed at the time of booking.
• Johandrea Tours reserves the right to decline participation or require a medical clearance if a condition may pose a risk to the guest or others.

 

7. Passports, Visas, and Entry Requirements

 

• Guests must hold a valid passport with at least six (6) months’ validity beyond the date of departure from South Africa and sufficient blank pages.
• Guests are responsible for obtaining any required visas, vaccinations, or permits at their own costs.
• Johandrea Tours accepts no responsibility for denied entry into South Africa or transit countries.

 

8. Safari Risks and Acknowledgement

 

• Safaris take place in remote wilderness areas and involve inherent risks, including encounters with wild animals, rough terrain, and unpredictable weather.
• By participating, guests acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to follow all safety instructions provided by guides at all times.
• Failure to comply with safety rules may result in removal from activities without refund.

 

9. Liability and Indemnity

 

• Johandrea Tours, its owners, guides, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, illness, death, delay, or inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
• Guests participate in all activities at their own risk and hereby indemnify and hold harmless Johandrea Tours from any claims arising from participation in the tour, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

10. Force Majeure

 

Johandrea Tours shall not be liable for failure to perform any obligation where such failure is due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, floods, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, or acts of God.

 

11. Accommodation, Transport, and Third-Party Suppliers

 

• Accommodation, transport, park fees, and activities may be provided by independent third-party suppliers.
• Johandrea Tours acts as an agent for these suppliers and cannot be held responsible for their acts or omissions.
• Standards of accommodation and transport reflect regional conditions and may differ from international norms.

 

12. Changes to Itineraries

 

• Safari itineraries are planned in good faith but may be altered due to weather, wildlife movements, park regulations, or guest safety considerations.
• Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.

 

13. Photography and Marketing

 

• Guests consent to the use of photographs and videos taken during the tour for marketing and promotional purposes unless they notify Johandrea Tours in writing prior to departure.

 

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

 

• These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
• Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

 

15. Acceptance of Terms

 

By confirming a booking and/or participating in a tour with Johandrea Tours, guests confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full.
